About the Forth Road Bridge

The Forth Road Bridge (A90) is a suspension bridge crossing the Firth of Forth between South Queensferry and North Queensferry in Scotland. Opened in 1964, it was the longest suspension bridge in Europe at the time. Since 2017, it has been restricted to public transport, taxis, and cyclists following the opening of the Queensferry Crossing. Managed by Forth Estuary Transport Authority, closures cause significant disruption to bus services.

The Forth Road Bridge is managed by Forth Estuary Transport Authority. Road closures on the Forth Road Bridge are reported through the UK government's Street Manager system and appear here in real time.
