About the Coventry Ring Road
The Coventry Ring Road (A4053) is a unique figure-of-eight dual carriageway encircling Coventry city centre, built in the 1970s as part of the city's post-war reconstruction. The ring road passes through Ringway Hill Cross, Ringway Queens, and Ringway Whitefriars, with several sections elevated above street level. Coventry City Council has been undertaking a major transformation of the ring road as part of the city's regeneration for the UK City of Culture legacy.
