How to check M40 before travelling

Use the published record details to plan a check, then look again before you set off because source schedules can change.

1. Start with the records
Filter the list by type and date, then open the relevant update to read its published schedule and available details.
2. Use the map for context
Map pins show the recorded position where one is supplied. They do not provide a diversion or a guarantee of on-road conditions.
3. Check again before travel
Read the individual source dates again shortly before your journey; a missing update does not confirm the route is open.
